“Capti” is a dance film bringing awareness to human sex trafficking. Everyday, men, women, and children are taken, defiled, and sold into modern day slavery. Sex trafficking is a black market, multi-billion dollar industry that operates in plain sight. Millions of people vanish from their day-to-day lives and are held captive within the brutal realities of prostitution. This dance film just barely scratches the surface of the complex situations that all sex trafficked victims face world wide. This is the ugly reality we live in and ignoring it will NOT make it go away.

The question I played with when choreographing this duet was...Why is Eve the only one that gets blamed with eating the apple when her “protector” stood there and watched and then proceeded to eat the apple as well? I hope you enjoy my interpretation of the tale as old as time.
